Step 1
Sign into your Blogger account. Find the blog to
which you want to add the tab bar in the blogs listed on the default
Dashboard page.
Step 2
Click the blue “Design” menu option in the pane
under the blog’s title to open the “Add and Arrange Page Elements”
design settings page. Depending on where you want the tab bar, click
“Add a Gadget” in either the page layout’s top section under the header,
or in the sidebar section on the left or right side of the page layout.
Step 3
Scroll to the “Link List” gadget toward the bottom
of the Add a Gadget dialog box. Click the white-blue “+” button beside
the gadget title to add and configure the gadget with the tab links that
you want to add to your blog.
Step 4
Type the URL Web address of the external Web page or
internal blog post into the “URL” input box. Enter a title for the
website, Web page or blog post into the “Title” box. Repeat this process
for each tab link that you want on your tab bar.
Step 5
Enter the number of tab links that you want to
display in the bar into the applicable box. Select how you want to order
the tab links on your tab bar by selecting either the alphabetical or
reverse alphabetical option from the “Sort” pull-down list.
Step 6
Click “Save” to store your preferences and close the
gadget configuration dialog box. Click the orange “Save” button in the
top right-hand corner of the page to add the gadget and publish the
changes to your blog. This displays the tab bar in your preferred
location on your Blogger blog.
Add a Pages Tab Bar
Step 1
Click “Add a Gadget” at your preferred location in
the Add and Arrange Page Elements design settings page to open the Add a
Gadget dialog box.
Step 2
Scroll to the “Pages” gadget; then click “+” next to the gadget name to open the Pages gadget configuration dialog box.
Step 3
Click the check box beside each blog page that you
want in your tab bar. To automatically add new pages to the tab bar,
click and select the check box beside “Add New Pages by Default.”
Step 4
Click “Save” to store your gadget preference and
exit the dialog box. Click the “Save” button at the top of the Add and
Arrange Page Elements design settings page to save and publish your
changes.
